Hello, friends. I’m Kia, The Loving Channel. This is the “It’s Safe to Let Go” Meditation.
For this meditation, it will be best for you to find a space that is quiet, private and feels safe to you. A space where you are not responsible for monitoring what is going on around you. A space that feels private enough that you can express any emotions that may arise. A space where your nervous system can relax and let go.
Come into a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down.
Close your eyes. Focus inward. Notice your breath. Your inhale and exhale. The rise and fall of your chest. Notice for now. Simply notice.
What does your body do when air is coming in?
What does your body do when air is going out?
Where in your body do you feel your breath?
Notice.
Allow your inhales to become deeper, expanding your rib cage fully, allowing all sides of your body to expand. Notice the expansion in the Front, the Back, the Upper Body, the Lower Body, the Right Side, the Left Side and all Diagonals. All of your body moves and shifts with your inhale. This is a full body inhalation.
On the exhale, allow your entire body to relax. Imagine your body is letting go of all tension. Let your shoulders drop. Let your stomach soften. Let all of your body relax as you exhale. Releasing all tension into the ground below you. Letting go of anything that is stuck or blocked. Giving up anything that is no longer of service to you or your highest good.
Allow your breathing to find a connected, circular pattern.
Big inhale and drop. Letting go. Another breath following immediately after. No pause. Big inhale and drop. Big inhale and drop. Big inhale and drop. Letting go completely. Continue breathing in this way at a pace that feels good to you. Allow the breath to be circular, effortlessly connecting the exhalation to the inhalation. If you find yourself experiencing tingles, tremors or light-headedness, this is okay. You are safe. Your nervous system is releasing and letting go of things that have been stored in your body. If you continue to breathe in this circular way, these sensations will pass. This is part of relaxing and letting go. You are safe as you are sitting or lying down. You are supported by the earth.
Your breath is a miracle maker. It has the power to release trauma and to help you heal. You are safe to let go. It is safe to heal. You are safe.
It’s safe to feel any emotions that arise as you continue with your full body inhalation and letting go exhalation. Let yourself cry, let yourself vocalize any anger, sadness, grief or joy you may be feeling. Let everything pass through you. Let go. Feel free to vocalize these expressions. Allow the emotions and sounds to move through your body and keep coming back to your breath. Big full body inhale into big letting go exhale into big full body inhale into big letting go exhale. It is safe to let go. You are safe in this moment. It is safe to let go. You are safe.
As you continue to breathe in this circular, connected manner with full body inhales and letting go exhales, I’d like to bring your awareness to the energy that animates you, that gives you life. The energy that is central to your being. This energy is your spirit, your soul. The source that powers each inhalation and exhalation. It is a bright light inside of you. A beautiful light. A loving light. It is pooled in the center of your core. It runs through your spine and expands out through your entire nervous system. It glows brighter with each inhalation and expands out with each exhalation. As you continue breathing with full body inhalations and letting go exhalations, become aware of this light, glowing and growing on your inhale, expanding in all directions on your exhale. Filling all of you with this beautiful, healing, loving energy that is you. This is your source. This is your nature. You are this love. You are this light. You are star shine. Composed of cosmic dust. The same light that brightens the day and the night is inside of you. Allow yourself to glow. Let your loving light fill you and expand out. With every inhale and exhale, you are growing brighter and warmer. This love is your nature. This is your truth. It is safe to be love. It is safe to feel love. It is safe to share love. It is safe to give love. With each inhalation and exhalation, the love that is your energy grows. Your love is free. You are free. The love inside you is free to heal, free to express, free to share, free to be given. You have let go. Your loving nature is free. You are free. You are powerful in your love. You are safe in your love.
Feeling the peace and joy of this loving nature that is who and what you are, notice again the physical sensations in your body as you inhale and exhale. Become aware of your breath, aware of the contact your body is making with external surfaces. Allow your breathing to return to normal. Gently move your fingers and toes, feet and hands, ankles and wrists, legs and arms as you come back to your present surroundings.
Maintain your connection with your loving nature as you move through the next few moments and throughout this day, remembering that it is safe to be alive. It is safe to be loving. You are safe. Love is your superpower. It is always within you. It is always available. You are safe. You are free. You are love.
